  • What pan should I used to make the Focaccia Mix?
    You may put our Focaccia in any pan as long as it is spread thin enough as noted on the package.  We use pizza pans or even pie pans if the dough is divided for smaller Focaccia.  For large Focaccia, we use a cookie sheet with the raised lip on it.  You can also make Focaccia rolls for sandwiches by following the recipe for oval rolls provided under our Web Bulletin Board.

    My bread loaf seems too short or to have fallen/craftered, Why?
    The average height of a baked bread is 5" to 7", depending on the variety.  100% Whole Wheat and Sunflower Seed tend to be the shortest loaves.  Our bread loaves are shorter than those made with bleached or bromated bread flours but have been carefully formulated to give the highest quality taste and texture.  Loaves may crater or fall if it is humid day or you put in too much water.  On humid days, reduce the water by 1-2 Tablespoons.

    How long should I bake the Quickbreads if I am making muffins or mini muffins?
    Mini muffins should take about 10 minutes and regular muffins approximately 20 minutes.

    What frosting ideas do you have to use on the Double Chocolate Cake?

    1)  Melt together 2 tablespoons butter and 2 squares baking chocolate.  Blend in 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 3-4 tablespoons of milk or water.  Beat until smooth, glossy, and thick enough to spread.  If frosting is too thin, add a bit more sugar.  If too thick, add a bit more liquid.

    2)  Non Dairy Frosting without powdered sugar:  Melt 2 parts carob chipcs (for chocolate) and mix with one part peanut butter.  Stir in a bit of vanilla and cool till spreading consistency is reached.

    Can I find Wanda's Organic mixes where I live?

    Wanda's products are available at gourmet/specialty food stores, natural food stores, select department stores, and grocery stores.  The northeast and midwest is our strongest market area.  A few chains/stores that offer some Wanda's products are Fresh Fields, Whole Foods, Wild Oats, Central Market, Steinmart, Giant and Tops.    Here in Nebraska, you can purchase our products at Open Harvest,  select Hyvee's, Supersavers, and Akins. Give your favorite retailer our phone number to determine a distributor they use.  They may be able to special order it or get it for an every day item.

    Can I use a pizza stone when making the pizza crusts?
    Yes, use according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    Can I put the pizza dough in the bread machine in the morning, even though I won't use it until supper?
    Yes, the dough should be fine this way.  In fact, if you prefer thick crust pizzas it is actually better to let the dough set longer.

    I bought a Cake mix with the Mini Bundt Pan. What cake mix can I use in it?
    You can use any cake mix for the mini bundt pan.  Be sure to spray the pans before filling and only fill them 3/4 full.  Be sure and follow the baking time and temp:
